Low-cost airline Pobeda launches tour operator

MOSCOW, Jul 22 (PRIME) -- Russian low-cost airline Pobeda, a unit of flagship carrier Aeroflot, is launching its own tour operator PobedaTravel, CEO Andrei Kalmykov told reporters on Monday.

“This service will be launched within one legal entity, as Pobeda airline was included in the register of Russian tour operators. Within the project, in addition to buying tickets, customers will be able to book insurance, transfer and hotel in one package. The project will apply to all flights on the airline’s route network. You choose the direction and dates, and our aggregator selects the hotel with the best prices for this period,” Kalmykov said.

Baggage will remain an additional service and will not be included in the tour package initially, he added.

Pobeda is currently waiting for a response from Egypt to start flights and sales of tours to this country, Kalmykov also said.
